Sweet potato sticks are a healthier alternative to french fries, our boys really liked them and eat them very willingly both alone and as a side dish to meat dishes.
From one sweet potato, you will cook enough sticks to feed 1-2 people:
1 large sweet potato
A pinch of rosemary
2-3 cloves of garlic
2-3 tablespoons of olive oil
A pinch of salt
We prepare sweet potatoes and oil:
We wash the potatoes very clean, and cut them into approximately 1 cm. chopsticks. We put it in a bowl. Pour the oil into a bowl, grate the garlic cloves and mix well. We pour the resulting oil on the cut sweet potatoes and spread it evenly.
We heat the oven to a temperature of 190 degrees:
Cut the sweet potatoes into sticks and place them on the baking sheet. Place in a preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. When serving, sprinkle with dried rosemary and salt.
It can be eaten alone, with your favorite yogurt sauce or as a side dish to meat dishes. Delicious!
Tip: To keep the sweet potato sticks soft and crispier, place them on a paper towel after baking. We bake them in the oven using the grill function.
