Simple but very tasty barley groats porridge with carrots is especially loved by children.
To prepare porridge, you will need:
100 gr. barley groats
100 ml. milk
1 carrot
20 g. butter
A pinch of salt if needed
Rinse the groats under cold running water. Put in a pot with boiling salted water and boil for 20-25 minutes.
Peel, wash and grate the carrot. Melt the butter in a pan. Add grated carrot. Fry for 2-3 minutes. Add boiled barley groats. Pour milk and simmer for about 10 minutes. If necessary, sprinkle with salt.
