Delicious and hearty, oven-baked dumplings with minced meat and pearl barley with mushrooms in a white sauce.
You will need to prepare 17 such, not very large, cookies:
- 400 gr. ground pork ham
- 5 cleaning spoons of boiled pearl barley
- 1 egg
- 1 head of onion
- 1 small carrot
- 3-4 champignons
- Salt to taste
- Favorite spices to taste
For the sauce:
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 1 tablespoon of flour
- 400 ml. milk
- Favorite spices to taste
In addition, you will need:
- Butter for greasing the baking dish
- For rolling semolina balls, sprinkling the baking dish

First, we prepare carrots and champignons:
- Heat a little oil in a pan, add chopped onion, carrot grated with a beet grater, and chopped champignons.
- Sprinkle with salt, mix and fry for a few minutes.
- We put minced meat, fried carrots and mushrooms, pearl barley in a bowl, beat in an egg, add spices and mix.
- From the prepared mass, we form small balls of the desired size, which we roll in semolina.

- Grease the baking dish with butter and sprinkle with flour.
- Put minced meat and pearl barley balls into the baking dish.
- Melt the butter in a pan. Sift the flour and add the milk little by little while stirring. Add your favorite spices. Stirring constantly, we heat until it boils. We pour the sauce on the dumplings.
- Bake in an oven heated to 180 degrees for about 35-40 minutes.
