Curd cake with strawberries

Light and fluffy cottage cheese fritters with strawberries. Its taste is very reminiscent of a cake. Instead of strawberries, you can use other favorite berries.

26 cm. to bake a diameter-sized curd, you will need:

500 gr. cottage cheese (9% fat)

4 medium-sized eggs

6 tablespoons of semolina

100 ml. milk

5 tablespoons of sugar

1 tablespoon of flour

10 - 12 strawberries

1 teaspoon of baking powder

1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar

A pinch of salt

We are preparing the dough for the curd pie:

Put the semolina in a bowl, pour 100 ml of it. milk We mix it and let it swell for about 10-15 minutes.

We carefully separate the egg whites from the yolks. Beat the yolks together with vanilla and simple sugar. Rub the cottage cheese so that there are no lumps. (It is most convenient and fastest to do this with an electric blender, but you can do without it). In a large bowl, we mix the mashed cottage cheese with egg yolks beaten with sugar, pour in the semolina that has swollen in milk, add salt, baking powder mixed with flour and mix well.

We heat the oven to 180 degrees.

Beat the egg whites until stiff foam in a separate bowl. We carefully mix them into the dough.

Line the baking dish with baking paper. We carefully pour the resulting mass, smooth it, press the strawberries. (If the strawberries are bigger, I cut them in half). Bake in an oven heated to 180 degrees for about 50 minutes.
