Delicious crispy thin-crust pizza with ham and mushrooms, one of our family's favorites.
For four 25 cm. diameter pizza bases you will need:
500 gr. wheat flour
11 g. (package) of dry yeast
50 ml. water
50 ml. oil
100 ml. milk
2 teaspoons of sugar
A pinch of salt
For the sauce: (per pizza)
1 teaspoon of olive oil
2 tablespoons of tomato sauce
2 cloves of garlic
Topping: (Per pizza)
100 gr. hot smoked ham
100 gr. hard cheese
5 champignons
Olives
Dried basil, oregano.
First we activate the yeast.
Pour 50 ml of warm, but not hot, water into the cup. We add 1-2 teaspoons of sugar, mix well and then add dry yeast. After adding the yeast, mix it carefully so that there are no lumps. And we leave it for about 5 minutes. If the yeast is suitable, the mixture should foam (rise) after five minutes.
Sift the flour into a large bowl.
Mix with salt. We pour milk, oil, mix the risen yeast. Mix well with a wooden spoon. Knead with your hands until the dough becomes soft, elastic and does not stick to your hands. (If the dough is very sticky to your hands, oil your hands. It will be much easier to knead.)
Let the dough rise in a warm, covered bowl for 30 minutes.
We divide the dough into four parts. We roll out each piece and form a pizza base of the desired size.
We prepare the sauce:
Grate the garlic cloves, mix with oil and tomato sauce. Spread the sauce on the pizza base.
We heat the oven to a temperature of 220 degrees.
We put finely chopped or grated ham and sliced mushrooms on the pizza base. We put it in the oven for 8 minutes. We take it out, sprinkle grated cheese on top, add olives and fry for another 3 minutes.
When serving, sprinkle with dried basil, oregano, or a mixture of spices for pizza.
