"Damau šaltibarščiai" turned out to be very refreshing and with a light, pleasant acidity. I used fresh, uncooked beets when making them, have you ever tasted them, did you like them? I personally liked it a lot, I especially liked the crunchiness of these salibors, the children also praised that it was very tasty while eating it.

To make a pot of saliborski, which is enough for four people, you will need:

1 liter of sour milk (can be replaced with kefir)

3 not very large beets

Half of one lemon

2 short-fruited cucumbers

3 hard-boiled eggs

A handful of chopped dill

A handful of chopped onion leaves

Salt to taste

We are preparing cold cuts:

Peel the beets, grate them with a beet grater (can be cut into straws), sprinkle with lemon juice, mix and leave for 1 hour. Stand for 30 minutes.

 

 

Pour sour milk into the pot, add beets, chopped cucumbers, onion leaves, dill, sprinkle with salt and mix well. (If the frosting is too thick, you can add milk or water.)

 

 

"Damau šaltiborščiai" are ready, when serving them, top them with a chopped or grated hard-boiled egg. Delicious!
